We started the unit of inquiry with a bus stop activity in which the students were divided into four groups. Each group had to visit the four stations:
Station 1: The students were read a story,’ Dear Children Of The Earth’
Station 2: The students viewed a video of Michael Jackson’s song,’Earth’.
Station 3: The students viewed a powerpoint presentation on recycled artifacts.
Station 4: The students read some newspaper headlines related to environment.
Through the above provocation the students honed their thinking skills by coming up with problems related to the environment.

ReplyDeleteWonderful approach to keep everyone posted about your happenings in the unit of inquiry. I like the idea of different stations all different and unique for the children's learning. This way they are being exposed to various ways through which inquiry can happen.
